For Our Brother

Found this note stuck in front of CK's desk when I reached home in the morning

Lunch at Pizza Hut *dipaksa bergambar*

Bitcha did not have a photo taken with the Birthday Boy as she was sitting at the opposite.. posing with her reflection instead

Our pizza! We did lots of Chinese New Year shopping after lunch..

..until we got thirsty and tired, and we settled at Mc Donald's for ice-creams

Back at home, posing with the shirt I got him for his birthday!
Happy Birthday, Kong cha!
Happy Birthday, My Brother
年年有今日 - awesome beatbox performance by the best guys from Gold Label.
The boy will turn 18 tomorrow. Wow, time flies.
Although being the youngest in the family, he never failed to show his maturity, be it in terms of respecting elders, never waste his food, spending money carefully, doing household chores and taking care of the house.
Except for.. not being able to make his own milo and only allowing Pei Yee to bully him.
Although both of us have a 9 years gap... it never felt like one.
We shared the same interest in toy cars, musical instruments (my past-tense), badminton and being the quieter ones in the family. These, used to be our conversation topics but as time goes by, the baby boy grew older. Now, he talks about his vacation with his friends, his studies and the more serious stuffs like asking you for your opinion on what should he do next after graduating from secondary school.
I used to be so worried about him once upon a time. I was worried that he would turn into a bad apple after stepping into secondary school because of peer pressure and all, but he proved me wrong (I hope). I guess he passed the "test". Let's see what he gets in the real exams.

This was taken just 2 weeks ago :D
Leaving for home in about two hours from now to celebrate his birthday!
Happy Birthday, my dear brother.
You know we all love you :-)
Family’s Annual Trip – Day 3
The family at Chinatown and Bugis.. without me :(
Mom and Pei Ling came over to Yishun for dinner with me in the evening. After dinner, we made our way to Clarke Quay so that Mom could enjoy the night view there.
That was the end of my family's stay in Singapore. I hope I could bring them over again next year when the Singapore version's Universal Studio opens to the public.
Family’s Annual Trip – Day 2
On Day #2, the itinerary was supposed to be Jurong Bird Park in the morning, Chinatown and Bugis in the afternoon. However, we ended up spending more time in the Bird Park, shopping at Jurong Point and Harbour Front.
Instead of opting for the MRT or cab, I decided that we should try the SAEx bus service. SAEx stands for Singapore Attractions Express. It chauffeurs you to the major attractions in Singapore and has several pick-up points around the city. It is also inexpensive - $4 per adult to the Jurong Bird Park/Night Safari/Singapore Zoo.

Teatime at Prata Wala in Jurong Point. The prata tasted quite good. It was recommended by my landlady! According to her, this is the best in Singapore :p
After a one or two hour shopping at Jurong Point, we departed to Harbour Front, where Mom and CK shopped for CDs like crazy! We arrived at our hotel room at about 5PM and rested before departing for dinner.
That was the end of Day 2 and I had to return to my flat after that :(
Family’s Annual Trip – Day 1
This post is long overdue. It was a busy weekend, in which I had spent quality time with my family over here in Singapore.
Our family would usually plan for an annual trip during year-end. In the past years, we had travelled to Penang, Penang and Penang. I could not recall how many times we have chosen Penang as our annual vacation destination :p This time, I did not have to travel along with the family. I was to expect them at the Changi Airport!

At the arrival hall.. waited for at least one hour for the arrival of The Cha's and Mr. Low TH and family

Dinner at Dhoby Ghaut's Kopitiam before departing to Orchard. Ling cha is nowhere to be seen as she was sitting next to me on the dining table :p

On the way to Orchard.. We need some introduction here! From the left: My cute brother, CK; Mom; Mr. Low and sister, Pei Yee; Mr. Low's sister, Siaw Chek and.. and.. and.. Ah Jie? Haha.
And, we're done with Day 1 - Orchard Road walkabout!
I stayed at YMCA with my family for the night :-)
