The case of the missing..
Me.
It has been quite long since you last updated your blog hor?, one loyal reader asked :D
First, it was the long Chinese New Year break.
Then, it was back to long working hours. War has begun again in the office, back to how it was 2 to 3 months ago.
Let's go back to two, three weeks back!
* All photos taken using my new "digicam" a.k.a. iphone4 :-)
Chinese New Year 2011. Awesome reunion lunch at home; shopping at Mid Valley with Miss Lady Boss; jogging and badminton session with Kong cha; visiting my uncles and auntys (mom's siblings), so many new babies and kids this year!
Cycling (2nd CNY in a row) at Putrajaya. Apparently less tiring than the one we had last year at Shah Alam.
It was also my little brother's birthday on 6th Feb. Here he is with the necktie and new shoes gifted by his sisters. The boy is 19 this year!
Next, my youngest sister came over to Singapore the week after my Chinese New Year break. I was only able to accompany her on Sunday evening when she arrived. We also had breakfast together before I went to work the following days. Still, I've had *ahem* enough of her noise. Haha.
Later this week, I was so surprised to hear that Pei Yee got invited for an interview with one of the columnist in a local newspaper! Wow, that is something, right? Cannot wait to see the interview on paper :-) For those of you who would like to check out some of her inventions, please click here.
I was bugged with never-ending work last weekend and only got to do some walkabouts this weekend. More photos coming up on the new attraction at Marina Bay Sands, the ArtScience Museum.
Introducing.. my Genius!
I showed him a video of a few Malaysian youngsters using their iPhones to perform Taylor Swift's Love Story.
That was probably few months ago.
I told him I fell in love with the song after watching that video.
Today I came back from dinner and saw a mail from him in my Inbox.
Subject: To Chin Hoong Mooi
Body: Ooi , saja main utk kamu .. Haha , jgn terharu sangat tau ?
Attachment: When love story meets viva la vida.mp3
He played the song on his keyboard and recorded it for me :D

Happy Birthday, My Brother
年年有今日 - awesome beatbox performance by the best guys from Gold Label.
The boy will turn 18 tomorrow. Wow, time flies.
Although being the youngest in the family, he never failed to show his maturity, be it in terms of respecting elders, never waste his food, spending money carefully, doing household chores and taking care of the house.
Except for.. not being able to make his own milo and only allowing Pei Yee to bully him.
Although both of us have a 9 years gap... it never felt like one.
We shared the same interest in toy cars, musical instruments (my past-tense), badminton and being the quieter ones in the family. These, used to be our conversation topics but as time goes by, the baby boy grew older. Now, he talks about his vacation with his friends, his studies and the more serious stuffs like asking you for your opinion on what should he do next after graduating from secondary school.
I used to be so worried about him once upon a time. I was worried that he would turn into a bad apple after stepping into secondary school because of peer pressure and all, but he proved me wrong (I hope). I guess he passed the "test". Let's see what he gets in the real exams.

This was taken just 2 weeks ago :D
Leaving for home in about two hours from now to celebrate his birthday!
Happy Birthday, my dear brother.
You know we all love you :-)
4D3N Vacation
Thanks to the Raya season, I have been granted a 4-days 3-nights vacation! I've never had a longer holiday than this one since my last Cambodia trip (I think). Upon reaching KL in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, I told mom that I was craving for nasi lemak. She brought Pei Yee and I to a mamak nearby our house. It was 5 plus when we reached there. To my disappointment, they did not have nasi lemak.
After breakfast, I took a short nap and later rushed to Mid Valley to meet my dear friend, Ying Ying. She was there with her nicely packed Mille Crepe, waiting at the cinema entrance already. She had earlier mentioned that she would bake a Mille Crepe for me and she chose to bake a different flavor this time, Cheese Flavored Mille Crepe. We watched UP. Thank god they were still playing the movie. I thought I would have to miss this movie since it has been showing for quite some time already. Next, I went shopping alone in the mall. I was on a quest to search for a nice home for D-zai but I just could not find one.
On Sunday morning, I had to crawl out of bed at about 5:45 AM. My brother and I accompanied Mom and our uncle and aunts to perform some religious virtues. When things were finally done, I told my brother that I wanted to try my luck at Lowyat Plaza. To my surprise, he said he would accompany me there. I couldn't remember when was the last time I went shopping with my brother, I mean, just the two of us. We walked for at least 3 hours plus inside Lowyat Plaza and Sungei Wang without buying anything. He knows I am such a fussy person when it comes to shopping. I would spend weeks, going in and out of malls to find the backpack of my choice or a pair of shoes that I like. I really appreciate his patience with me hehe.
It was another early day on Monday. We woke up at 6:30 AM and departed to the market in Semenyih to meet Mom's friend before we embarked on our journey to Morib! The journey to Morib was not a long one. I had little to expect prior to the trip. People often say Morib beach is polluted. However, it is not like what I've heard. I was awed. The beach was clean and the sea water was okayy. However, the restrooms were ewww.. We spent about 2 hours at the beach. Next, we had seafood for lunch. I guess that is a must-have there. We ordered sotong, butter prawn, fish, fishball soup and la-la.
That was supposed to be the end of our half-day Raya trip but we decided to stop by at the famous Lover's Bridge at Tanjung Sepat. The sea view was very fascinating. I could not imagine how beautiful it would be during sunset. Wish I would have the chance to frequent that place another time to enjoy the sunset.
Photographs appreciation time!
P/s: Lots of photos to be posted this time hehe. Hope I have enough bandwidth to support this :D
Tribute to my sensitive stomach
It has been a while since I've last had diarrhea. My stomach has always been very sensitive. I was growling in pain and could hardly get out of bed. The pain came on and off. When I was getting slightly better, my little brother did something that really cheered me up. I was too tired (or lazy) to speak to him when he asked me questions. So, he took PeiLing's mini whiteboard and started "talking" to me there.

Brother started scribbling some stuffs
He started with: Are you suffering?
I grabbed the pen and drew a sad face: =(

Still waiting for the result

Mr. Bean and his Teddy!
He is such a cute brother :D
