CNY 2010 – The Extreme (Part 1)

As planned, on the second day of Chinese New Year, we woke up very early and journeyed to Shah Alam Malaysia Agriculture Park at Bukit Cahaya Seri Alam.

The night before..
Chin Pei Ling was assigned to get the maps done as none of us knows the way to Bukit Cahaya. She mailed the maps to me and I was supposed to print them out. I printed them when we got home from the late night movie the day before.
I did not really bother to look at the map - took a glimpse of it - felt that it was a little out - still didn't bother - too tired, hit the sack straight.

Next morning, I was supposed to drive. So, I passed the map to Bit and told her to give me the direction. Halfway through, I decided to take charge. I still had a small portion of memory of the road to the Agriculture Park because my buddy, Woon Tian brought me there last year for the Skytrex Adventure. We finally reached the place at about 9:30AM. We got our entrance tickets, had breakfast at a Mamak stall there, and dashed into the Park.

Us on the tram that took us around the Park. We complained so much (about the driver) on the tram because we weren't 'served'. I mean, logically, there should be someone on board to introduce the place to the visitors, right? There was no stopping along the way as well except at the waiting points.

When the tram reached the peak, it made a U-turn and down the hill it went. Halfway through, we decided to get off when it stopped at a waiting point. We got bored sitting in the tram, going through the same journey another time.

The threesome doing their stuff.

The ganas one.

The naughty one. She secretly brought the pop-pops to scare the other two.. when they least noticed!

Me placing D-zai on the wooden bridge. Them getting ready.

I'm ready to press the remote now! Errr, not quite perfect...

Next shot!

Chin Pei Yee jangan buat muka! Yeah!

Macam boss.

To be continued..

CNY 2010 – The Reunion

The long holidays ended so quickly without me noticing.
Nevertheless, it was a fun one :-)

This year's Chinese New Year was slightly different in that we did not do our usual extended family get-together due to our Aunt's passing. However, we did our usual movie-day on the first day of Chinese New Year (an 11:30PM show) and this time we picked - My Astro 大日子 Woohoo! It's a movie that will not disappoint you when you think of.. local production. We had lots of fun in the cinema. Mom began her laughing marathon as soon as the movie started. Ling cha and I went, errr?, staring at Mom.

Happy Birthday, My Brother

年年有今日 - awesome beatbox performance by the best guys from Gold Label.

The boy will turn 18 tomorrow. Wow, time flies.
Although being the youngest in the family, he never failed to show his maturity, be it in terms of respecting elders, never waste his food, spending money carefully, doing household chores and taking care of the house.
Except for.. not being able to make his own milo and only allowing Pei Yee to bully him.

Although both of us have a 9 years gap... it never felt like one.
We shared the same interest in toy cars, musical instruments (my past-tense), badminton and being the quieter ones in the family. These, used to be our conversation topics but as time goes by, the baby boy grew older. Now, he talks about his vacation with his friends, his studies and the more serious stuffs like asking you for your opinion on what should he do next after graduating from secondary school.

I used to be so worried about him once upon a time. I was worried that he would turn into a bad apple after stepping into secondary school because of peer pressure and all, but he proved me wrong (I hope). I guess he passed the "test". Let's see what he gets in the real exams.

These photos were taken way back in year 2005. My brother piggybacks us except for someone. That's the fatty me on the right and Pei Yee on the left :-)

This was taken just 2 weeks ago :D

Leaving for home in about two hours from now to celebrate his birthday!

Happy Birthday, my dear brother.
You know we all love you :-)

Oh, the usual ice-cream meal :p
And, on the left, CK's and Mom's shopping outcome.

Mom and Pei Ling came over to Yishun for dinner with me in the evening. After dinner, we made our way to Clarke Quay so that Mom could enjoy the night view there.

Me and my Ma cha at Dhoby Ghaut station.

That was the end of my family's stay in Singapore. I hope I could bring them over again next year when the Singapore version's Universal Studio opens to the public.
