Fatigue
Never have I had a job as tiring as this one.
It is not that I did not have to work overtime in my previous jobs. I remember working through midnights and up to the next morning in my first job. I didn't remember myself complaining about it. It was probably because of how much I enjoyed what I was doing, whom I was doing the jobs for and what I was gearing up ahead.
Really, really looking forward to the upcoming break from this job.. which is happening in about 2 months time!
The Eruption
Have you been a very, very patient person all along but one fine day you had a sudden outbreak?
This happened to me today, at work.
I don't know if I was being rational or not but the verse, sedikit-sedikit lama-lama jadi bukit can be applied here :-)
Is being patient in everything the right way to go? Will it cause more harm when you have this sudden outbreak due to the tolerance you gave, accumulated day by day?
Time to hit the sack and give it a deep thought. Good night :-)
The Upcoming Show
It has been a while since my last concert. Was it Eason's or Gary's?
I am now looking forward for this man's concert. Khalil will be performing at Genting's Arena of Stars on 28th May. It will also be my first time attending a concert with my brother! :D
I wish time would flyby faster..
For My Ma Cha
So, we decided no more surprises after the usual headaches we used to have twice a year (none other than Mother's Day and the Queen's birthday). This time we made her sit down and wait for hours before we served lunch. What's on the dining table?
Main course: Butter pork (no one bought chicken so we had to settle with pork), bak kut teh, canned abalones, sambal kangkung (was there sambal?), omelette with char siew (bbq pork), plain fried rice with onion.
Dessert: Vanilla ice-cream (by keller handmade)
The big chef for the day was *drum roll* Pei Yee. She spent more than 4 hours in the kitchen and came up with all the dishes in the main course list except for the fried rice. I specially requested that I would contribute the fried rice. I insisted this to be on the menu although someone else suggested that I should be assigned to take the Queen out for few hours so that the little chefs could prepare the food. The person who assigned this task to me cited that I could not even fry an egg! That was how the small surprise was being called off.
The bak kut teh tasted so ewww. I hate herbs. The butter pork seemed alright but the pork was too hard. The sambal kangkung tasted like sambal kangkung. The canned abalones were so salty!! The omelette tasted best for me! The ice-cream was not bad at all although the texture can be smoother. The plain fried rice with onion tasted like... plain rice with onion.
Happy Mother's Day, my ma cha!! :-*
Happy Things
I spent the long weekend (Labour day replacement holiday) with Mom in Singapore this time. Bid goodbye to her yesterday evening after sending her off at the bus terminal. Whenever Mom's around, I am bound to do only one activity - eat, eat and eat.
Mom stayed with me in my room for two nights. I truly enjoyed those nights. She would read her magazines and newspaper on my bed while I will be in front of my notebook. How is that spending time together? We multi-tasked! We chatted without facing each other :-)
Then, there was the one-hour spring cleaning my room activity! She complained that I was wasting space because I had my camera bag, dry box, shoe boxes and other stuffs on the floor when there were plenty of spaces on top of my two wardrobes. She also spotted two wooden planks leaning against those wardrobes and decided that we might as well lay them on top of my wardrobes. She insisted that we get a big cloth to wipe those planks. We carried those heavy planks, wiped and placed them onto the wardrobes, arranged my treasures on top of them and mopped my floor. What a productive day!!
I miss my Mom :(
Then, there was a happy news from a close friend. So, so happy for her.
Sorry that I could not really share who and what's it about for now :-)
