Espresso Frappe

Yesterday, we patronized the Starbucks at Wisma Atria, Orchard after dinner to try their latest brew - Espresso Frappuccino.

Our espresso stays roasty even when it's cold

So true! Espresso is usually served hot but Starbucks is serving it as frappuccino this time. The frappe tasted a bit sweet for me. Still, it brings out the roasty flavor of the espresso, poured over shaved ice.

Keller Homemade @ Kota Damansara

So, the craftswoman had been there and showcased her produce. I believe the outcome was positive.
The beginning of a future store? Hehe, whatever it is, good luck! I believe Mr. Low will always be your permanent employee, and occasionally us, the part-time shift worker.

#1: Historical Malacca

My long-waited trip to Malacca is finally over. We boarded a superbly slow-going bus from Lavender to Malacca. The journey began at 8:30AM and we finally reached Melaka Sentral (the new bus terminal in Malacca) at about 1:30PM. We could have reached Kuala Lumpur already with that amount of time taken!

On Thursday, he got us some yummy belgian chocolate ice-creams for dessert after dinner

The trip to Malacca was filled with must-eats and must-dos. As soon as we reached Malacca, we frequented the famous chicken rice ball shop to fill our hungry stomachs.

Burrpppp..
We had a quick lunch so that we could hurry to our next stop as there wasn't much time left for the day. The next item in our itinerary was.. river cruise! The tickets can be bought at RM10 for adults and RM5 for children. It detours the Malacca river and you will be briefed about what you find on the left and right of the riverbank. Some of the things that you can find are bridges named after prominent figures such as Hang Tuah Bridge and Chan Koon Cheng Bridge, Malay villages which shows off how the houses were built without using nails at all and cafes. We could also catch a glimpse of the monorail track which was still under construction. Apparently, it will be completed this year. The monorial will cross Malacca river too. Maybe, next time around! :D

Beautifully painted walls along the riverbank

After the 45-minute cruise, we walked around Malacca town. It was extremely hot and sunny.

Next stop was the much awaited Mille Crepe feast! We ordered the original Mille Crepe and a chocolate Chiffon cake (recommended by the Mr). Yummy!

Nadeje Cake House :D

The legendary Mille Crepe (original flavor)!!

Chocolate chiffon cake - that thick layer of 'cream' isn't really cream, it's made of milk and does not taste too sweet :-)

After the tea break, we toured along Jonker Street. We had roasted pork rice, ice kacang (without puppy love) + chendol and satay celup.

The end of the less-than-24-hour trip to Malacca, hectic but fun nevertheless.
