Gong Xi Fa Cai
One more day to go before I journey back home to celebrate Chinese New Year with my family. Can't wait to get this long break. Can't wait for time to fly faster. Can't wait to realize the ambitions that I have set for myself this year. What about you?

Ushering in the year of Tiger - Chinatown
Here's wishing everyone a Happy Chinese New Year.
May the year of the Tiger brings lots of luck and happiness to you and your family.
May you receive all the courage and bravery of the Tiger (rawrrr!), to do anything that's in your mind.
Drama: Hi My Sweetheart
I have recently finished watching this Taiwanese drama (that was how my nights were spent in the past 2-3 weeks; and no TVB *sob*). When I first saw the drama, I thought the title could be better. Its title in Chinese is 海派甜心, showcasing Show Lo and Rainie Yang as the main cast.
Taken from wiki - Xue Hai was a certifiable dork when he first arrived in Shanghai. After his schoolmate Bao Zhu saved him from bullying, she became his first love. Then, a misunderstanding caused them to lose contact when she moved back to Taiwan. He thought she dumped him. So he transformed himself from a dork to a hunk in order to seek revenge.
This drama spans up to 14 episodes. I had almost given up watching during the first five episodes because of their lame acts. However, I continued watching as I had nothing better to do :p When it reaches the point where Xue Hai and Bao Zhu coupled, it got less bored. As stated in the excerpt taken from wiki above, there were trials and tribulations to their relationship before they finally got together (oops, spoiler).
It was sad that due to a misunderstanding, they drifted apart. She was raised in a rich family, He was a few times richer, but he identified himself as a poor boy. The reason was he wanted to find true friends, ones who will not approach him because of his wealth. The misunderstanding was caused by the the lady's Mom. Mom did not want her daughter to live her life with a poor dork and tried to separate them in many ways.
She did not have a chance to justify herself as she was involved in a terrible accident.
He did not know about the accident.
He thought it was a story of a rich girl fooling with a poor boy.
He left for his hometown.
They met in his hometown three years later.
She did not recognize him as he had totally transformed into a handsome-looking and most sought-after bachelor.
He began his revenge - to make her fall in love with him and then dump her.
I hated this part the most grrrrr.. just felt like hitting him in the face so much.
Why did he not have faith in her?
Given the same situation, would you leave? I think it is impossible to find someone who is persistent enough to not believe what he sees or hears unless it is from her own words.
The end. Got to go find the next 'candidate' from youtube again.
For Our Brother

Found this note stuck in front of CK's desk when I reached home in the morning

Happy Birthday, Kong cha!
Shopping, Shopping, Shopping
My shopping quota has hit its limit this year :D
I have been shopping since December last year until today!
Inside the shopping bags are.. stuffs for my coming Kota Kinabalu trip in March and for Chinese New Year.
Got myself a hiking backpack, hiking shoes, black dress from Rocking Reptile, white shoes for work, a pair of Crocs slippers (from Pei Yee), mini tote and purse (from KC), a pair of Levi's Skinny jeans, and... I think that's about it :-)
Happy Birthday, My Brother
年年有今日 - awesome beatbox performance by the best guys from Gold Label.
The boy will turn 18 tomorrow. Wow, time flies.
Although being the youngest in the family, he never failed to show his maturity, be it in terms of respecting elders, never waste his food, spending money carefully, doing household chores and taking care of the house.
Except for.. not being able to make his own milo and only allowing Pei Yee to bully him.
Although both of us have a 9 years gap... it never felt like one.
We shared the same interest in toy cars, musical instruments (my past-tense), badminton and being the quieter ones in the family. These, used to be our conversation topics but as time goes by, the baby boy grew older. Now, he talks about his vacation with his friends, his studies and the more serious stuffs like asking you for your opinion on what should he do next after graduating from secondary school.
I used to be so worried about him once upon a time. I was worried that he would turn into a bad apple after stepping into secondary school because of peer pressure and all, but he proved me wrong (I hope). I guess he passed the "test". Let's see what he gets in the real exams.

This was taken just 2 weeks ago :D
Leaving for home in about two hours from now to celebrate his birthday!
Happy Birthday, my dear brother.
You know we all love you :-)
