To: Aneeta
Today is a significant day for my dear friend, Aneeta. I was there together with hundreds of well-wishers to witness the moment she said, "I do." to her loved one.
It was the first time I was invited to attend a Christian wedding ceremony and I must say that I really enjoyed the whole event. I got a little emotional the moment Aneeta's father walked her down the aisle to the front of the hall and when the couple exchanged their vows to each other. I had never believed in vows. I used to think that I can never trust them but I have started to have faith in them now, slowly.
Aneeta is a long-time friend of mine, a friend whom I have known since high school. It's funny each time we recall how we knew each other and she would say, "It was when I had to borrow your Sejarah notes to copy in class!" She loves to admit how much I've helped her in her Sejarah and Add Mathematics though I was never that helpful. I recalled how we used to chat in class by scribbling on a paper when the teacher was giving lessons in front. Those were the days.
And now, my dear friend is prepared to move on to the next phase in her life. I wish her all the happiness in the world and that she would enjoy her married life.
Enjoy your honeymoon, girl, oops, woman!
